Please watch this video from this morning’s NBC Meet the Press:

This is the America I support and I am proud of, the America where an American Muslim soldier can fight and die for his country and be just as honored as anyone else.

Stop the hate-mongering, John McCain! Stop the hate-mongering, RNC!

As Eric, who commented a few posts below this one brought to light, the hate is beginning to get your own people hurt because it is in fact stirring up violence. The hate and violence have to stop!

What it’s like in some quarters of california. I’ve had something similiar happen to me several times:

    Your Papers, Please [Jay Nordlinger]

Have a friend who was in Riverside Park (Manhattan) with his baby daughter. A woman came up to him and said, “Are you a registered Democrat?” He said no. She said, “Well, you can register right now — it will just take a second. I have the necessary paperwork here.” He said, “No, actually, that’s not it — I am registered. It’s just that I’m a registered Republican.” He said that the woman gave him a look of hate such as he had seldom seen — sent a shudder down his spine. She walked away, still glaring, bitterly, without a word.

Now, the thing is, my friend’s not very political at all — he’s not like me and the rest of us NRO-niks. He just has a nice career (unrelated to politics), and a nice family, loves to play golf, likes to go to the movies, and goes about his business. And he thought, “Shouldn’t she simply have been pleased that I was registered? Isn’t political participation and good citizenship what it’s all about?”

Oh, no, no, my friend — not by a long shot. Come the revolution, you will understand. And that lady will give you a good long time in a camp to think about it.

BTW, here’s yet another liberal message about voting for obama that revels in violence against Palin.

    Eric,

So a guy got a dirty look. He wasn’t battered. Democrats are very suspicious of Republicans because of the RNC’s tactics in this campaign. Their behavior is reprehensible. When I go to local Obama rallies, when they ask me if I’m a Democrat, I say I’m a Republican for Obama. I’m very welcome to stay. I’m in a deep red state whose electoral votes will go to McCain, so our Democrats are very, very suspicious of Republicans. Louisiana is also a state where people were lynched in the 1960′s.

Why is it that you insist there will be a revolution? There won’t be. And there won’t be concentration camps either.

We the American people are smarter than the McCain-Palin campaign and RNC think we are. We understand perfectly well what they are doing and we’re not going to stand for it.

I’m a Republican. I won’t be very much longer because this party no longer reflects who I am.

Maybe you should move to Louisiana and I’ll move to California. We would both be much more welcome in each other’s states than we are at home.

BTW, here’s yet another conservative message about voting for obama that revels in hate, lies & violence against OBAMA and his supporters.
