I have a very dear friend who is on active duty with the National Guard who is a single mom and has to be away from her kids. I help her specifically by keeping in contact with the children, I write to her almost every day, and I make time to go and see her whenever she’s on leave. She got to come home for Christmas and New Year’s, and I was surprised and delighted to get to see her.

I’ll write another post about how everyone can support our troops.
