This year has been about change, and change is what we need to continue to make happen until the problems in this country are solved. Equal rights for LGBT Americans is one of the many issues that the Obama/Biden administration will face head on and make right.

We must fight for the world as it should be — Michelle Obama, Aug. 25, 2008

Michelle Obama will be the second first lady who is a professional. She gets to follow in the footsteps of Hillary Rodham Clinton who was the first professional first lady. Professional first ladies are a novel breed, and a very welcome breathe of fresh air. They bring so much strength to the White House, strength of a kind the White House has never seen before. A strength Americans can be proud of and a living testament to why women should recieve equal pay for equal work. They are a living example that our children see and they can dream bigger than ever before.

Presented next is Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention on August 25. I waited to post this video because I wanted people to absorb everything during the convention and then look back and see just how great she will be as the first lady.
