It’s happened. U.S. citizens were arrested by other countries and are being held. We have citizens in custody in North Korea and Iran. We don’t have diplomatic relations directly with these countries, so we have to rely on Swiss and Swedish diplomatic relations to assist our citizens.

We captured and continue to detain “enemy combatants” without charges and no rights, and it’s been 7 years. We’ve tortured many as far as any of us can tell. Now we are asking other countries not to treat our citizens the same way we have treated others.
Any good will we had in the world is being tested, and we are failing the test. We are no longer considered the good guys.
How long will it be and what will it take to get our white hat back? My guess is when justice is served and a lot of people from the Bush administration are convicted and put in prison.
